Monthly Newsletter | November 2022 | Volume 39
Dear Readers,
We are glad to present to you the November edition of the School 360 Newsletter.
Development and growth in the education sector continues in full swing in the post-covid era. Slow and steady changes are being made to improve the learning outcomes in students, with experiential and project- based learning becoming an important part of the curriculum. Government has launched the National Curriculum Framework (NCF) for the foundational stage for children between ages three to eight. The new framework has focused on cognitive development and socio-emotional stimulation in the early years of a child, and listed the ‘panchkosha’ concept for education of children in this age group. According to NCF, “Panchkosha is an ancient explication of the importance of the mind- body complex in human experience and understanding. This non-dichotomous approach to human development gives clear pathways and direction towards a more holistic education.” The five parts of this concepts are: physical development, development of life energy, emotional and mental development, intellectual development, and spiritual development.
In this edition, we have covered these topics: World Economic Forum Recommends Use of Digital Tools to bridge Learning Gaps; New Syllabus Plan-No Textbooks till Age 6; Use of Mother Tongue in Foundational Education-NCF 2022; Football for Schools Programme- Ministry, FIFA, AIFF Sign MoU; Draft National Credit Framework (NCrF)- Introduction of Credit System in Indian Schools; Expansion of Design Thinking and Innovation Courses in Schools.
