CBSE Schools Gearing their class 12th Students up for Changed Exam Pattern

The CBSE has prompted the schools to start preparing their class 12 students anew for exams by introducing the new pattern for the board exam question paper.

The school heads agree that the new pattern is designed to assess the comprehension skills more thoroughly with its MCQs and the Case Study based questions.

The new pattern will, it is believed, test the efficacy of the online classes and the teaching that went on in them.

The schools have stated to gear up their students for the re-patterned exam. As per the media reports, the schools are conducting written tests, sort of pre-boards.

The CBSE has released the sample question papers to clarify what the changes would look like as early as October. The 30 percent reduction of the syllabus has also been effected to adjust for the time lost due to the lockdown.

The schools are taking stock of the covid-19 situation and are arranging online tests and also mail-in question papers for the students to prepare. Although, there are states like Tamil Nadu that have sanctioned school reopening for senior classes, it is felt that it would be best to prepare for remote test-run assessments.
