According to the Union Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank, the CBSE board exams for classes 10 and 12 will happen only after February 2021.
The minister stopped speculations by stating that the exam schedule will be decided after an assessment of the situation.
There is a lot about the exam schedule that has not been unveiled, the only thing that is certain is that the exams will not occur in February and the announcement of dates will be made by the CBSE soon.
The minister revealed the plans of deferment of the exam schedule for 2021 in online interaction with the teachers.
Another thing which is clear is that the exams will be held offline. The access to the internet is variable for students and it will be unfair to hold exams online for the ones not well-versed with the online mode. The exam preparation will happen in several different modes.
Mr. Nishank also reiterated the curtailment of the syllabus which was announced earlier this year. He added that the schools that could not hold practical exams due to protracted closure will be provided with an alternative.
