Monthly Newsletter | March 2022 | Volume 34
Dear Readers,
We are glad to present to you the March edition of the School 360 newsletter.
Most of the educational institutions across the country have reopened for offline classes, after the receding third wave of the Covid-19 pandemic. Several initiatives are being launched by the government to mitigate the learning loss suffered by the students due to the pandemic-induced prolonged closure of schools and colleges. Some of the major initiatives announced include the proposed ‘digital university’, expansion of ‘one class-one channel’ programme of PM eVIDYA from 12 to 200 TV channels, development of e-content in all spoken languages, setting of 75 skilling e-labs, and launch of DESH-Stack e-portal. London-headquartered T4 Education, in partnership with professional services major, Accenture, has launched $250,000 inaugural world’s Best School Prizes to celebrate schools worldwide for their contribution to society’s progress, especially at the time of the Covid pandemic. India’s high-achieving schools are being invited to this event.
In this edition, we have included these topics: A New Subject ‘Happiness’ to be Introduced in MP Schools; Eleven New Schools of Specialized Excellence to Come up in Delhi; Haryana Government’s Decision of Conducting Exams for Grades 5, 8 Opposed by CBSE, CISCE; New NCERT Chief: Professional Historians Free to Select Content Without Intervention; PIL to Cancel Board Exams Dismissed by the Supreme Court; Impetus on Digital Learning: Education Budget 2022-23.
