This notice was issued to help schools avoid errors when uploading marks for practicals, internal assessments and projects. CBSE mentioned that the projects, internal assessments and practical examinations for Classes 10 & 12 will run from 1st Jan, 2026, to 14th Feb, 2026.

Guidelines CBSE Schools Must Follow on

The board stated that schools sometimes make mistakes when uploading marks associated with these assessments. CBSE has attached a complete list of subjects for Grades 10th & 12th with this circular to support the smooth conduct of internal assessments, theory examinations, practicals, and projects.

The CBSE expects schools to strictly follow the instructions, avoid submitting requests later to correct errors made during mark submission, and cautiously read the circular. CBSE has given details like class, subject name, subject code, maximum marks for practical examinations, project assessments, internal assessments and theory examinations through the circular.

It specifies whether the board will offer practical books and the type of book to be employed in theory assessments. whether an external examiner will be appointed for the project or practical examinations. CBSE has planned the projects, internal assessments and practical examinations for Grades 10th & 12th from 1.1.2026 to 14.2.2026. Distributed across practical, theory, internal assessment and projects, each subject carries a total of 100 marks.
