Bringing Global Education to Your Backyard

Now, Indian students can make the Ontario Secondary School Diploma directly from their classrooms in Gujarat for the first time. Ahmedabad has attained a milestone in Indian education as Udgam Consultancy, a guiding force in Gujarat’s school environment, collaborated with Canada’s Rosedale International Education to bring the world-recommended OSSD to India.

Ahmedabad students can now access a Canadian high school curriculum famous for its focus on global citizenship, real-world learning, and skills without getting out of their city. The OSSD enjoys world recognition and is accepted by the UK, the US, Canada, Germany, Singapore, Australia, and universities in and beyond those governed by the Ontario Ministry of Education.

It adopts a student-centric model and is flexible, unlike traditional Indian school boards. Students research fields like data analytics, psychology, and business through project-based learning and continuous assessment instead of high-stakes exams and rote memorisation. Manan Choksi, the CEO of Udgam Consultancy, said sharing the vision behind the initiative - “It’s not just about preparing students for results, it’s about preparing them for life.”

In collaboration with Rosedale Global High School, the program will run, and there is an Ontario-accredited digital school functioning already with 100+ institutions in 17 countries. With Udgam connecting this world network, Indian students get access to an international academic pathway that opens doors to the best universities and careers globally.

Ravi Kumar, Senior Manager of Global Education Partnerships at Rosedale, called this partnership a natural fit. He mentioned that - “India has been known for its academic strength, and what we’re doing now is integrating that strength with a system planned for world readiness”. This opening move constitutes more than just a new course offering.

It indicates a major transformation in Indian education, and world opportunities are no longer limited to students who can study overseas. The world moved closer to home for students in Gujarat.
